It is now official; Holyrood native Curtis Walsh will be the photographer for both Bambina and Targa Newfoundland events for 2018. Being a long time spectator of the Targa Newfoundland event has enriched his experience of capturing live action shots of hot rally vehicles zooming right before his camera lens.
Curtis, what are your current hobbies?” asks David. “Well,” replies Curtis, “I am heavily involved in the local car scene since 2013. I attend most car shows such as the Drag Racing events at Eastbound, Capital Subaru – NL Subie Expo, the annual Hickman Show as well as the A&W lot nights on Kenmount Road, St. John’s. I also spend time fixing my Subaru STI and racing my dirtbike at the local MX track on the Avalon Peninsula.”
“In previous years Curtis, as a Targa spectator which was your favorite stage to capture photographs?” “Definitely the famous bridge in Brigus, the final stage!” he chuckled. To that, he added, ” I appreciate the opportunity to work with the competitors and their crew members as well as with the volunteers this year. The most fun part would be making new friends.”
Being directly involved in the Bambina and Targa events this year, Curtis will be on the stages capturing live shots against our beautiful summer/fall Newfoundland scenery for which we are famous for. Curtis’s work can be viewed on his Facebook page under “Curtis Walsh Media. He can be contacted directly by email firstname.lastname@example.org to view or order any past Targa prints.
