2025 Route Map and Road Closures

Be a smart spectator!
Stand at least 15 metres from the road, never stand on the outside of a turn, choose high ground, never stand behind red tape, always stand, do not sit down to watch AND counsel others.
Think Safety

Note: Closed rally stages are shown in black

  • Listen to Safety Marshals in yellow or orange Targa vests.
  • Stand only behind the yellow taped areas. Supervise children closely and control pets.
  • Do not park vehicles near the Targa route (15 metres).
  • Do not cross the road during the event.

Community volunteers and Targa officials will close sections of road to vehicles and pedestrian traffic for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to run the Targa Newfoundland stages. The maps below indicate in black which roads will be closed.

  • 120 minutes before START, a SET-UP VEHICLE will drive through the stage assisting marshals to place the stage under Targa’s control. Local traffic will be permitted.
  • At Road Close time, ROAD CLOSE VEHICLE will enter stage with red and blue lights and siren operating. Road is now closed to all traffic and pedestrians. Local traffic will NOT be permitted.
  • 10 minutes after Road Close, COURSE SAFETY VEHICLE will traverse stage with red and blue lights operating, doing a final check.
  • After Course Safety, Targa cars will run at 30 second or one-minute intervals, for approximately one hour.
  • Immediately after competition, ROAD OPEN VEHICLE will officially reopen the road with green lights operating. Do not walk or drive on the road until it is officially reopened. Breaks in competitor traffic are possible, followed by more competitors at high speed.
