Location is everything, and Targa Newfoundland is very aware having the right balance of good roads, excellent service points, and accommodations is key for a successful event.
Targa plans to cover close to 1,500 km’s in six days during it’s 17th annual event in September, 2018. Overnight stops in Clarenville, Marystown, Conception Bay North will give competitors a chance to meet local fans, work on their vehicles, and experience what these host communities have to offer.
Newfoundland is an island. The only way to get you and your vehicle here is by air or sea. Keep that in mind when budgeting for this event, but also for planning how to get your team and vehicle here. Access points by ferry is via Argentia (2 hour drive to St. John’s) or Port aux Basque (11 hour drive to St. John’s). St. John’s International Airport will be your choice if flying into the province for the event. Please contact the Targa office for more information on how to get here!
